Chapter of the Year – SigEp NJA
This chapter has experienced great success this year in all areas of Greek Life including: recruitment, organizational growth and leadership, service, academics, and Brotherhood/Sisterhood. Co-sponsored and/or hosted numerous events ranging in educational, cultural, philanthropic, or social in nature. They demonstrated efforts toward Risk Management: Chapter provides safe living and/or programmatic environments for its members. The chapter sends members to local, regional, and national leadership activities/retreats such as those hosted by their National Headquarters and the Stevens Campus. They have an active relationship with Student Life staff and are free of discipline or sanctions by the Office of Student Life or their respective council.
Excelsior Award – SigEp NJA
The Excelsior Award is presented by SigEp Nationals to chapters that show significant improvement in volunteering, recruitment, member development, academics, finances, risk management, housing, standards and accountability, and chapter leadership.
Fraternity Member of the Year – Justin Baumann
This member serves as an outstanding male leader on campus and serves as a role model to other men on campus. He practices the four (4) pillars (community engagement, leadership, sisterhood, and scholarship) of the Stevens Fraternity and Sorority community as well as those of his individual chapter. He strives to improve the Greek community through his unparalleled dedication through leadership roles and other contributions and has shown support towards other chapters on campus, not just his own.
Senior Legacy Award – Adrian Castellanos and Daniel Lentini
This individual must be a senior by credit standing and have completed their degree requirements by Spring 2023. They have shown contribution throughout their time as a member within their respective organization by holding leadership positions and being an active member, especially during their senior year. They have served as a mentor to younger members of the chapter during their final semester at Stevens.
Frank J Ruck Award – Justin Baumann
Presented by Sigma Phi Epsilon Nationals to an individual who shows outstanding campus or community leadership and makes significant positive changes on the campus/community as a whole.
J. Edward Zollinger Outstanding Senior Award – Daniel Lentini
Recipients are balanced men and models of excellence. The award is based on outstanding scholastic achievement, Fraternity and campus leadership, and community involvement.
